Technology Metals Australia Limited (ASX: TMT) is focused on developing the 100 percent owned Gabanintha Vanadium Project located in Western Australia.
In June 2018 Technology Metals Australia announced outstanding results from a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) confirming the technically robust and extremely high quality of the Gabanintha Project.
The PFS delivered a maiden Ore Reserve of 16.7Mt @ 0.96 percent V2O5and a project post tax NPV of A$ 850M (US$ 589M) from an initial 13-year mine life. Technology Metals Australia’s Gabanintha project is set to be one of the largest pure play vanadium operations in the world with a peak production output of 13,000t V2O5per annum.
The company estimates infrastructure capital costs of A$ 380M including a A$ 60M contingency based on a conventional salt roast / water leach processing plant.
TMT is currently progressing a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) on target for completion mid-2019.
Board and Management
Michael Fry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia, is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and is a past member of the Australian Stock Exchange.
He has extensive corporate and commercial experience, financial and capital market knowledge and a background in corporate treasury management.
He’s currently Non-Executive Chairman of ASX listed Brookside Energy Limited with a focus on oil and gas exploration and production onshore mid-continent region of USA, Non-Executive Chairman of Challenger Energy Limited that is focussing on oil and gas exploration opportunities in South Africa and Non-Executive Chairman of ASX listed Norwest Energy NL that has assets in Australia and the United Kingdom with an operational focus on the northern Perth Basin.
Fry was a board member of Precious Metals Australia Limited which owned and operated the Windamurra Vanadium operation in Western Australia.
Ian Prentice holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Western Australia and has over 30 years experience in the global mining industry, spanning exploration, development and open cut and underground mining. Ian is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Prentice has served as a Director for a number of ASX-listed resource companies, with activities ranging from exploration and project acquisition in Asia and Africa through to gold production in Australia. He’s the founding Executive Director of Technology Metals Australia Limited.
Non-executive Director and Company Secretary
Sonu Cheema is a Partner at Cicero Group with over 10 years’ experience working with public and private companies in Australia and abroad. Roles and responsibilities held by Cheema include completion and preparation of management and ASX financial reports, investor relations, initial public offers, mergers and acquisitions, management of capital raising activities and auditor liaison.
Currently Cheema is Company Secretary for Corizon Limited (ASX: CIZ), Avira Resources Limited (ASX: AVW), Yojee Limited (ASX: YOJ) and Comet Resources Limited (ASX: CRL).
He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting at Curtin University and is a CPA member. Having completed the CPA Program, the core competencies and key areas of focus by Mr Cheema include Financial Reporting, Taxation, Management Accounting and Governance.
David English has over 30 years of industry experience and been involved in some of Australia’s largest recent mining projects. He was Project Manager for Independent Group’s (ASX : IGO) A$445M Nova nickel mine and Project Manager for Sandfire Resource’s (ASX : SFR) A$400M DeGrussa copper mine.
English was General Manager Operations at the Windimurra Vanadium Project (Feb 2008 – Feb 2010) involved in re-developing the project. His experience and knowledge gained from his time at Windimurra, including environmental approvals and permitting, commissioning and project ramp up, will be invaluable as it is applied to the progression of the Gabanintha DFS and the subsequent development pathway.
