Board and Management
Glenn Smith is an experienced CEO, entrepreneur, scale-up venture leader, investor and director. His success to date has been built around being involved in and/or growing customer-centric businesses at all stages of the growth cycle.
In addition to Novita, Glenn is also a board member of Meeco, Mentorloop, Plattar and co-founder of a boutique winery in Victoria, Australia. He was also the CEO of online employment marketplace SpotJobs.com until a successful exit in September 2016.
He holds an MBA from the University of Western Australia, a BA (Economics), a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Melbourne, and is a practicing vigneron.
Sue has more than 30 years’ experience as a pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology executive with senior roles in corporate, medical, commercial and business development.
Sue has served as CEO and a Board member of several ASX and NASDAQ-listed companies in the sector. She is currently the Chair of Novita Healthcare Ltd, Anatara Lifesciences (ASX:ANR), MTPConnect (Medical Technology and Pharmaceuticals Industry Innovation Growth Centre MTPII-GC Ltd), Non-Executive Director for Oventus Medical Ltd (ASX: OVN) and veski. Sue is also appointed to a number of academic and government advisory committees.
Her broad commercial experience is underpinned by graduate qualifications in pharmacy and post-graduate qualifications in corporate governance, commercial law, business administration and marketing.
Mark Simari brings a wealth of corporate and management experience to the Novita Healthcare team. He has been responsible for a number of successful company re-births, as well as the integration of several acquisitions applying his strong business acumen and hands-on management philosophy.
With excellent networks in the health and aged care, banking, capital markets and financial services sectors, Mark has proven capabilities across a diverse range of industries facing substantial challenges in demanding environments.
His background incorporates experience as a company secretary, financial advisor and stockbroker, and as the owner of several enterprises with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business re-structuring, building shareholder value and ASX small to mid cap listings.
As Managing Director and Corporate Executive for Paragon Care (2009), Mark was instrumental in turning the company around from potential administration to embarking on an acquisition program that is now capitalising on the high-growth health and aged care sector as well as delivering shareholder returns.
Jefferson Harcourt has more than 15 years of experience as a company director and founder of Grey Innovation, a cutting-edge engineering and technology commercialisation company based in Melbourne, Australia. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and has worked in a wide range of industry sectors including defence, automotive, consumer electronics, and medical devices.
He has brought more than one hundred products to market in the past 15 years through his work at Grey Innovation. He works closely with his technical team, and is comfortable with complex technology and product development methodologies.
In 2014, Jefferson co-founded the Verde Foundation; a not-for-profit foundation to translate medical device research into investment-ready propositions. He has also raised capital and created a number of spin-out companies, sits on a number of company boards, and is committed to helping create successful high-tech companies.
