Mediland Pharm Limited (ASX:MPH) is a retailer focused on providing a broad range of high-quality TGA-approved Australian health, well-being and skin care supplements to the Chinese tourism market.
It operates stores in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast that also sell a wide range of luxury products, including; opal and pink diamond jewellery pieces, souvenirs and gifts, luxurious bedding and a fashionable range of rugs.
It was established in 2002 and has relationships with leading tour operators that drive significant customer traffic through its stores.
Mediland is also developing its own line of health supplements, beauty and cosmetics products under its Mediland Pharm Limited and Le Marine brands that will be manufactured in Australia.
Its growth strategy is also targeting the launch of an online sales platform for the Chinese market and expansion into new opportunities to target tourism customers from other Asian countries, including Korea and Japan.

Independent Non-Executive Chairman
Peter French is a cell and molecular biologist with extensive experience in both basic and clinical medical research and in the biotechnology and healthcare industry.
He was a founder ASX-listed Cryosite (ASX:CTE), Australia’s first cord blood stem cell storage company. Cryosite listed on the ASX in 2002, and Peter served as a non-executive director until 2006.
In 2003 he was appointed CEO and subsequently Managing Director of ASX-listed VRI Biomedical (later Probiomics Ltd (ASX:PCC)), a company involved in developing, manufacturing and launching probiotic-based products. Previously he was the Managing Director of ASX-listed gene therapy company Benitec Biopharma Limited (ASX:BLT).
Peter also served as an Executive Director on the Board of Bioxyne Limited (ASX:BXN) from 2016-2018, an ASX-listed company developing, marketing and selling a probiotic for immune and gut health.
He has a PhD from Deakin University for cell biology studies carried out at CSIRO in Parkville, Melbourne and was awarded the title of “Innovator of Influence” from the Australian Science and Innovation Forum in November 2015.
Yeshween Mudaliar is a professional hospitality executive with 15 years’ industry experience.
Over the past 15 years, he has successfully fulfilled senior executive roles with leading hotel chains including Marriott, Accor and IHG, in both managed and franchise operational models.
Over the course of his career, he progressed to an asset management and business acquisition specialist. His vast network of relationships across a number of industries has supported his expertise to increase his clients’ business portfolios with highly profitable acquisitions, mergers and ensuring corporate compliance.
Yeshween has a Diploma in Travel and Tourism from Sir George Seymour National College in New Zealand. He also has a certificate in Senior Development Executive Program and Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
Independent Non-Executive Director
Tracey Cray is a strategic business professional with over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality and tourism industry.
She has worked with leading hotel brands including Choice Hotels, IHG, Mantra Group and Accor, including franchise operating models.
Tracey holds qualifications in Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety and has a history of achieving success in delivering and exceeding company objectives, driving performance and increasing business efficiencies.
Her key strengths include operational and compliance requirements in Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, Learning and Development, Holistic Customer Service and Brand Awareness.
Theo Renard has over 21 years’ experience in credit and relationship banking in commercial and investment banking with Nedcor Investment Bank in South Africa and Asia and ABN AMRO Bank in Australia and Asia.
For nine years until 2017, he was a Director of Realm Resources Limited (ASX:RRP). He has also held the position of Vice President Finance of Atrum Coal NL (ASX:ATU) and spent two years’ as the CFO and Company Secretary of a retail group with retail and manufacturing operations in Asia and the Subcontinent.
Theo is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Science with honours from the University of South Africa.
Jhon Shen is a businessman with a track record of developing profitable businesses and incubating new business opportunities through acquisition in the retail, tourism, travel and hospitality sectors.
He has first-hand experience within the Chinese retail sector and has worked in both an operational and management level within Mediland since March 2015.
Jhon graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting.
