Australian Mines Limited (ASX:AUZ) is an ASX-listed resource company pursuing a dominant position in the production and supply of battery and technology metals to global markets.

The company is developing world-class cobalt-scandium-nickel projects in Australia to meet demand created by the global shift to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.

Its flagship cobalt-nickel-scandium Sconi project in Queensland is one of the very few large ore bodies of its type within Australia and is also considered the most advanced towards production.

Australian Mines Limited is also moving forward on the Flemington project in NSW and its Thackaringa project, also in NSW.

Michael Ramsden
Non-Executive Chairman

Ramsden is a lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience as a corporate advisor. He has been involved in all forms of finance, including money markets, futures trading, lease finance, trade finance and foreign exchange.

He is the Managing Director of Terrain Capital Limited in Australia and has previously worked for international companies including CIBC Australia, JP Morgan and Scandinavian Pacific Investments Limited.

Benjamin Bell
Managing Director

Bell is an experienced company executive, with a career in the Australian exploration and mining sector spanning more than two decades. He is a qualified geologist and geophysicist, with significant management and on-the-ground experience working for listed companies, government agencies and as a respected industry consultant.

He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Australian Mines Limited in November 2011, before subsequently being appointed Managing Director in January 2012. In 2016 he oversaw the relaunch of Australian Mines as an emerging global leader in cobalt, nickel and scandium supply through the acquisition of the Sconi and Flemington Projects in eastern Australia.

Marcus Hughes
Chief Financial Officer

Hughes has more than 20 years’ experience in the listed company environment. Joining Australian Mines in December 2018, Marcus is well-credentialed in capital raising and project finance structuring, bringing with him an impressive track record of critical financial analysis and specialist tax advice experience in a mining business environment.

Tim Maclean
Chief Operating Officer

Maclean brings more than 25 years of senior management experience and hands-on technical and production experience within the mining industry, including the running of Rio Tinto’s Palabora copper smelter and refinery in South Africa, which produces around 120,000 tonnes of copper metal each year.

His most recent role involved managing Alcoa’s Kwinana aluminium refinery in Western Australia, including its 950 person workforce.
